儿子的五年加拿大学习生活

儿子找工作

15岁就可以到麦当劳打工去了，
儿子到网站上填写了工作申请，问不少问题呢。
也不让我看，自己想怎么写就怎么写。
儿大不由娘啊，我也不想培养“妈宝”。
凡事自己体验吧。

到店里给他买小电脑，带到教室里写作业的。
还没进店门，就看到窗户上挂的大牌子“Now hiring"(现在招人）。
哇，儿子说他现在对电子类感兴趣，这个工作应该适合他。

接待我们的是一个高瘦西人男孩，儿子说感觉也就大他一两岁的样子。
我彻底不明白这些电子类，告诉他：你们自己交流吧，我管交钱就行。
很快就成交了，收银时儿子问西人男孩多大才能到这个店里上班。
男孩说他17岁，收银女孩16岁，可能得16以上才能申请工作。
都是小童工啊，不说我还都以为20左右呢。
在外面工作都得按公司要求来，孩子看着都成熟懂事些。

发重复了

发重复这么多次，我的电脑有问题啊。

崩溃的作文

儿子的作文Leadership被打回来，要求重写。
好多问题，第一个最重要的是格式不对。
每段开头都要空格，不能齐头写，等等。

我在加拿大学过写文章，典型的八股文，比中国的还讲究格式。
五段论，首尾呼应，中间三段每段开头就要写出要点，然后围绕展开写七八句话阐述。
拼写错误，语法错误都是要扣分的。
像我们词汇量少的，尤其英语不是第一语言的，尽量用简单句，
不要弄那些幺蛾子，写什么从句复杂句之类的，属于没事找抽型。

儿子的文章口语化严重，不会使用书面语言。
写的啰嗦，句子都很长。
这都是大忌，内容观点倒不是最重要的。
四平八稳的观点，还是稀奇古怪的观点，都没人在意。
把你的想法按照格式扣明白了，是重要的。

女人语言能力强，男人差...很多。
我老公，弟弟写作能力，加一起乘以N，可能也不如我。
遗产基因是强大的，我也没办法，一个句子一个句子地抠。
磨人啊，下午从一点半到八点半，真难产，
有这个空，两个娃都生出来了，这一篇作文还没出来。
我都快疯了，江南七怪那无可奈何的镜头不时在我脑中闪现。

好文章

最近有点忙

要给自己找活干了，时间就不那么充裕了。
儿子的学习是不能放松的，他放学我就上班啦。

今个是周五，看他笑嘻嘻地进门。
问：“有啥好事吗？”
“嗯，Ms Henna 今天说 What's wrong with you guys?"(汉娜老师今天：“说你们犯啥毛病了？”）
这是批评话啊，咋还那么开心。

“Why are you so happy?"（那你高兴什么？)
"Ms Henna is surprised all student hand in Science report on time."
（汉娜老师吃惊所有的学生都按时交了科学报告。)

这个报告有些难度，为了完成，儿子三个晚上都十一点睡觉。
我看看老师发的报告要求，彻底放弃了。
告诉儿子，妈是帮不了你了，靠自己吧。
能做的就是检查他的报告有没有按要求，完成所有内容。

科学报告要求

各科老师要求写报告前，都会给一个详细的要求，打分标准都在上面。
讲究的是fair play(公平游戏)，老师不能凭心情，随心所欲地打分。
学生有可能事后质疑的喔，所以白纸黑字，童叟无欺。

这个要求是这样的，（很长的，要有心理准备）

Element Research Project
元素调查报告

Goal: Research an element of your choice from a selection on the periodic table and assess its uses and application in the real world.
目标：在元素周期表里选一个元素，评估它的用途及在现实生活中的使用。

Success Criteria:
成功标准
1. Choose an element from the first three rows of the periodic table (1)
从元素周期表的前三行选一个元素. (1分)

2. On a blank piece of paper, prepare a full Bohr-Rutherford drawing of the element you have chosen(3)
在一张白纸上，画出所选元素的Bohr-Rutherford画法（不知道是个神马玩意）(3分)

3. Name and describe the person who discovered your element.（2）
描述此元素发现人及他的名字。（2分）

4. How does your element occur in nature? Is your element created in a laboratory setting？（2）
你的元素在自然界里如何产生的？你的元素是在实验室里产生的吗？ （2分）

5. How id your element obtained? (ie. Mining? A by-product of a chemical reaction?) (2)
你的元素是如何获得的？（比如，开矿？化学反应的产物？）（2分）

6. List 5 real-world products that use the element in their chemical structure. (10)
列出实际生活中使用你的元素的5个产品（10分）

c. List and describe and hazards of the product or any cautions someone should use. (3)

d. Write a hypothesis about the product that could be tested through experimentation. (2)

e. In a 1/2 page or less, describe the experiment that would test your hypothesis. (5）
用半页或更少的篇幅，描述验证你的前提的实验。（5分）

8. Connect your product with another aspect of society. How does the element you originally chose, or the product that is made from your element influence the economy/religion/politics/environment? (5)
