Golf Cart Fatal A golf cart rollover that killed a young girl from Hornepayne remains under investigation. The eight-year-old child was riding in the cart on Kimick Lodge Road, about 40 kilometres north of Hornepayne, on Monday titleist scotty cameron putter. The cart was driven by her friend, a seven-year-old boy, also from Hornepayne. Kimick Lodge Road is a public road with a gravel surface. The motorized vehicle rolled on top of the girl when the boy lost control. She was pronounced dead at Hornepayne Hospital, said Const. Roly MacDonald of Ontario Provincial Police in Wawa. The child's name has not been released taylormade r11 fairway wood. "It's kind of a sensitive thing," said MacDonald. "We may not want to do that." OPP investigators are trying to determine how the cart should be classified and if an operator needed to be a minimum age. The motorized cart is not considered a vehicle under the Highway Traffic Act. It's not made for use on highways or public roads. The cart is similar to an all-terrain vehicle r11 fairway wood, but "it's not specifically classified as one," said MacDonald. "It's something we're looking at. I'm sure the investigation will bring it up." The boy is too young to be charged. Sault Ste. Marie-based traffic and identification units assisted the OPP detachment k15 fairway wood in Hornepayne with the probe. The community is 400 kilometres northwest of the Sault. |
